Our Story
Conways has been serving Kildavin and the road that runs through it since 1988. Nearly four decades on, we're still doing what we've always done — cooking food the way it should be cooked, and welcoming people the way we'd welcome them into our own home, whether you're stopping for five minutes or staying for the evening.
Ask anyone who's been coming here for years and they'll tell you: the secret is our Sunday dinner. It's the meal that built our reputation, and it's still the one that brings families back, week after week, generation after generation.

We didn't start big. Conways began with something as simple as soup and a sandwich — and that spirit has never left us. Our kitchen isn't run like a commercial operation; it's run like a home kitchen that just happens to feed a lot of people, including the drivers who pull in off the road looking for a proper hot meal. That means real ingredients, proper cooking, and no shortcuts — even when it costs us more to do it that way. We'd rather keep our standards than cut them.
Our food costs are higher than they need to be, because we keep trying to do right by every plate that leaves the kitchen — whether it's a Sunday dinner in the dining room or a Highway Box grabbed on the way back to the car. That's a choice we make every day, and we're not planning on changing it.
